If you have an investment account:
Before you can completely close your account and have any money inside the account returned to you, you must sell off or transfer to an outside brokerage account, any current investments and have the funds settle into the Save/Invest area (generally 2-3 business days). In the meantime, your account will be suspended awaiting final notification that the funds have settled. At that time, we will officially close the account and return any funds to the attached funding source or by check. You will receive an email when the account is officially closed.
No investment account:
Your account and cards will be closed as soon as any pending transactions are completed. Typically it takes about 5-7 business days for an account to be closed and remaining funds returned via linked funding source or check. You will receive an email when the account is officially closed.
In both cases, any cards associated with the account will be closed when the app account is closed, with remaining funds returned to the linked funding source or mailed.

This doesn't actually tell me how to close the account. I suppose I have to call someone right? Who?
Where is the info on how to close my account? Charging 50 dollars a year for a card that most retailers won’t accept is borderline thievery.

Use the, "How can we help?" Chat bot.
Get to a "Talk to a human" prompt.
Ask them to cancel.
They made it pretty easy after that.
